Innovation, entrepreneurship and a commitment to generational change … are some of the keys to face depopulation. This June 11 at the San Martín de Unx cooperative winery, Cadena SER opens a debate on Spain emptied emphasizing the fight against rural exodus and the opportunities that the rural environment offers us under the title Innovation as a tool to combat depopulation in rural areas. San Martín de Unx, precisely one of the Navarran towns that have made a clear commitment to the search for relief for its greatest potential, viticulture.
The forum will explain in detail what the project consists of Ebro Food Valley, a Navarrese hub in the food chain, where rural development and the economic activity of the agri-food industry serve as levers. The aim is to turn Navarra into the leading region in innovation applied to the production and manufacturing of all elements of the food chain.
We will also know successful initiatives in rural areas in the face of depopulation, such as the Ecopueblo project, of the host locality; or a Scape room in Falces. The ECO Pueblo Project is an initiative led by Bodegas San Martín, in collaboration with the San Martín de Unx City Council in order to tackle one of the main problems that the municipality is experiencing: rural depopulation and the need to prepare a change generational in the economic engines of the municipality and the region.
On the other hand, we will stop to analyze the main problems which small towns have to deal with, such as internet access, which is key in many areas of entrepreneurship.
All this in one day with the intervention of professionals from different fields who put the future of the rural environment on the table.
The day will be developed with the impulse of Fenie Energy.
