Susana Giménez tested positive for coronavirus

The actress and host Susana Giménez, who tested positive for covid-19 this Wednesday, was admitted to the Cantegril Sanatorium in Punta del Este. According to those close to the Telefé host, she was under observation due to the low oxygen saturation in the blood. With severe body pain, she had been taken to the clinic by ambulance from her home, La Mary. The information was confirmed by his brother Patricio.

Last Wednesday, the 77-year-old cheerleader had symptoms consistent with the disease and had a swab done. The result was positive, the same as in the case of his daughter, Mercedes Sarrabayrouse.

It is worth remembering that the television presenter moved to her home in the Uruguayan resort since the beginning of the pandemic. The positive is confirmed days after Giménez received the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine in Punta del Este.

The television star’s daughter had also received two doses of the vaccine. Meanwhile, Lucía Celasco, daughter of Sarrabayrouse and granddaughter of Giménez, is in Buenos Aires.

On April 24, Giménez received the first dose of Pfizer in Uruguay. Resident of Punta del Este, he took advantage of the quarantine months to work on a small role in an Amazon series. A little over a month later, on June 4, he received the second dose at the Maldonado Campus vaccination center.
