The Ministry of Health has published this Friday the update of the figures for infections, hospitalizations and deaths from coronavirus in Spain. Regarding Thursday’s report, the total number of people infected by COVID-19 has increased by 4,142. With this, the national total of infected already rises to 3,733,600 people since the start of the pandemic.
The report also reflects 36 new deaths from COVID-19 With respect to Thursday’s data, which brings the official death toll since the beginning of the pandemic to 80,501.
Regarding the cumulative incidence nationwide, this Friday the figure down to 108.46 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days, which represents a decrease of 1.89 points compared to the last data.
Incidence data by communities
The Rioja (200.05) continues to be the community with the highest incidence in Spain, followed by Andalusia (188,14), Basque Country (165,86), Melilla (114,84), Navarra (129,01), Madrid (115.96) and Aragon (119,98).
For its part, Baleares (42,08), Valencian Community (40,08), Ceuta (47,50), Murcia (48,04) Y Galicia (45,52) the improvement in the incidence in makes that there are already five regions that present a low risk (AI between 25 and 50).
Below the 100 barrier are, in addition, Castilla la Mancha (87,91), Cantabria (69,99), Asturias (74,70), Canary Islands (72,43) and Estremadura (68,42).
654,232 vaccinations in one day and more than 12 million Spaniards with complete regimen
The vaccination record in Spain on Thursday (624,261 vaccinations) has not lasted more than one day. The Ministry of Health has just published the vaccination report for this Friday and has communicated that in the last 24 hours they have been administered 654,232 doses of the vaccines available in Spain, which is the highest number of vaccines given in our country in a single day.
With this great vaccination data, Spain exceeds 12 million people with the complete vaccination schedule. 12,250,002 Spaniards are fully vaccinated (25.8% of the population). For their part, 20,963,619 Spaniards have already received at least one dose of the vaccines, which corresponds to 44.2% of the country.
After adding the 654,232 doses from the last 24 hours, the total of vaccines given in Spain now rises to 32,282,553, 89.7% of the total doses delivered so far, which is around 36 million.
By age group, with all people over 80 years already vaccinated, so are the percentages of vaccination by age. With at least one dose 97.9% of people between 70 and 79 years old are already there, 92.4% of those between 60 and 69 years old and 81.7% of those between 50 and 59 years old. Regarding the complete vaccination schedule, already have it 95.2% of Spaniards between 70 and 79 years old, 25.1% of those between 60 and 69 years old and 35.6% of those between 50 and 59 years old.
