Leonor e Sofia from Spain should have debuted together in an official act without the presence of their parents last Saturday, June 5th. The two sisters were to participate in the closing ceremony of the ‘One Tree for Europe’ campaign, which had to be postponed.
Although a new date for this event has not yet been announced – which was postponed due to bad weather -, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia will appear in public on June 18th. The information was advanced by the Royal House, which informs that, alongside the kings Felipe VI e Letizia, will participate in the awarding ceremony of the Order of Civil Merit, on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of the proclamation of Felipe VI as King of Spain.
The ceremony will take place at the Royal Palace in Madrid and will be decorated people belonging to different groups that contributed, in the front line, in the fight against the pandemic. This is the third occasion on which the monarch has awarded these decorations. The first time he did so was in 2015 and the second in 2019, when it marked the fifth anniversary of his reign.
