The prince Eduardo, the queen’s youngest son Isabel II, recently gave an interview about the centenary of his father’s birth, the duke of edinburgh, which was signed this Thursday, June 10th.
During the conversation, Eduardo also spoke about the relationship of Harry e Meghan with the rest of the family and admitted that family tensions between the Dukes of Sussex and the Windsors do exist and that he considers the situation “very sad”. “Strangely, we’ve all been through this, we’ve all suffered intrusion and excessive attention to our lives”, said the Earl of Wessex in an interview with CNN.
“We all dealt with it in a little different ways, and we wish them the best of luck. It’s a really difficult decision”, he also stated, about the fact that his nephew and his wife had decided to step away from their royal duties and move to the United States. “It’s complicated for everyone, but that’s how families are”, he added.
Remember that Harry and Meghan, in an interview with Oprah issued at the beginning of last March, spoke about the pressure that mainly the Duchess was suffering from the tabloid press, which led to the deterioration of her mental health, Meghan confessing that she even reached to have suicidal thoughts. This will have been the main reason that led the couple to move away from the spotlight.
