The Special Electoral Jury (JEE) Lima Norte 1 held this morning the public hearing on contested votes during the second round between Pedro Castillo (Free Peru) and Keiko Fujimori (Popular Force). These courts play a key role in resolving the acts observed by the legal representatives of the aforementioned political parties.

The news was announced by the National Elections Jury (JNE) through its Twitter account, where it specified that The public hearing will take place starting at 9:00 am and will be broadcast on Facebook of the JNE and the JNETV channel.
The National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) reported that, as in the first round of April 11, the absenteeism marked this new election day registering only 35.684% attendance at the polls; that is, an absenteeism of 64.316%, which, although it is less than the 77.14% registered in April, continues to be higher than the second rounds of 2011 (49.77%) and 2016 (55.98%).
This data reveals that only 326,937 of the 912,244 qualified voters turned out to vote. According to the total count of the votes cast abroad, they favored the candidate Keiko Fujimori with 66.604% (205,114 votes) compared to the applicant Pedro Castillo, who obtained 33.396% (102,848 votes).
