A CPI to Covid-19 approved on Friday, 11, the request for jurists and university researchers to present a study on the alleged crimes that can be imputed to the president Jair Bolsonaro for actions and alleged omissions in combating the pandemic of Covid-19. Presented by senator Alessandro Vieira (Citizenship), the request states that the group will be led by assistant professor of Criminal Law Saulo de Carvalho, from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Also on Friday, the senators heard from Natália Pasternak, microbiologist and director-president of the Instituto Questão de Ciência, and Cláudio Maierovitch, sanitary doctor at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation and former president of the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa). The double presence was requested by senators Renan Calheiros (MDB), Randolfe Rodrigues (Rede) and Humberto Costa (PT). Both spent the session criticizing the president and the federal government.

The commentator of the program “The Drops On The Is“, gives Young pan, Guilherme Fiuza, believes that the intentions of the senators before the investigations are clear. “As we’ve been commenting, it’s not a Parliamentary Inquiry Commission, it’s a trap, a place where unprepared and rude senators mistreat women and doctors, hold a rally, it’s a place that has no credibility,” he said. For him, the doctors invited this Friday went there “to tell you what Renan Calheiros wants to hear”. “The level of science placed there is the same that was used by Fiocruz to try to decree in Rio de Janeiro a brutal lockdown without science in four hands with Wilson Witzel, the one who was removed by ‘Covidão’”, he recalled, making a provocation to experts: “You have to issue an opinion condemning all sporting competitions taking place in the country, you didn’t do it. You need to climb up this little box here at Renan and shout against the Copa Libertadores, which brought 21 foreign delegations from the same continent to the country. The Copa America will bring nine. We didn’t hear from you at that time,” he teased.
