George Floyd: a special Pulitzer Prize for the young woman behind the murder video

The author of the George Floyd murder video was awarded a Special Pulitzer Prize (from the video shot on May 25, 2020 by Darnella Frazier).

PRESS – Darnella Frazier, an 18-year-old young woman who filmed the arrest and murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis at the end of May 2020, was awarded this Friday, June 11 a special Pulitzer Prize, the most prestigious awards in journalism at United States.

The Pulitzer jury paid tribute to the one who had gone out that day to run a race and found herself in front of the scene by chance, for having “bravely recorded the murder of George Floyd, a video which generated demonstrations against police brutality around the world ”.
