Coronavirus and restrictions in Georgia: how many violations were recorded per day?

The most popular violations are ignoring the ban on night appearances and refusing to wear masks.

TBILISI, 11 Jun – Sputnik. Over the past day, Georgian police have recorded 448 violations of restrictions imposed in the country due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Georgian Interior Ministry reports.

Due to the worsening epidemiological situation in the country, there are strict restrictions: the mandatory wearing of masks on the street and restrictions on movement from 23:00 to 04:00, the so-called “curfew”.

Over the past 24 hours, a fine of 20 lari (approximately $ 6) for violating the rules for wearing masks was issued to 313 citizens. Another 86 people paid a double fine for reappearing in public without masks.

The rest of the violations are ignoring the ban on appearing on the street at night. Over the past day, 49 people were fined.

The amount of the fine for violation of the restriction on movement at night is two thousand lari (586.5 dollars) from an individual and 10 thousand lari (2.9 thousand dollars) from a legal entity.

Epidemiologists believe that the mask regime in Georgia will remain for at least a year, until 70% of the population is vaccinated against coronavirus.
