The automobile house Ferrari name the italian Benedetto Vigna new managing director, a position that had been vacant since December following the resignation for personal reasons of Louis Camilleri, the company said in a note.
Vigna will join the Maranello house on September 1, 2021 and comes from the STMicroelectronics company, where he is currently in charge of the Analogici group, Mems (Micro-Electromechanical Systems) and Sensori.
With extensive international experience working with some of the world’s leading technology companies, Vigna, 52, was born in the province of Potenza, in the small town of Pietrapertosa, and graduated in physics from the University of Pisa.
He joined STMicroelectronics in 1995 and founded the company’s Mems businesses. “His responsibilities have extended to connectivity, imaging and power management solutions. He has also led a series of successful initiatives in new business areas, with a special focus on the industrial and automotive market segments.“, reads the presentation note.
