It was an open secret and the European Parliament on Thursday condemned Morocco’s attitude for allowing the arrival in Ceuta last May of more than 7,000 immigrants, many of them children. He also accuses Rabat of using migration to “put political pressure” on Spain. He hopes, yes, that the crisis does not deteriorate relations between Brussels and Rabat. The European Parliament has approved the text with 397 votes in favor, 85 against and 196 abstentions, a resolution agreed by the four main groups in Parliament, which are popular, socialist, liberal and green.

The text condemns “the use of border controls, migration and unaccompanied minors” as “political pressure” against a European country, in reference to Spain.
