Hotmart, one of the global leaders in digital products, announces the launch of Hotmart Challenge – Startup Edition, a challenge to find innovative ideas and projects in technology, education and entrepreneurship throughout Brazil. The company will select six startups that will receive, in total, a contribution of R$ 2 million to accelerate the winning projects.
The objective of the challenge is to receive applications for ideas and projects in the initial phase, in progress or already underway, from startups at any business stage. “We want to identify more experienced entrepreneurs or those who are just starting out, with ideas fresh out of the paper or businesses that already have a presence. Our challenge is for all businesses with the potential to change people’s lives, because we believe that all startups deserve a chance”, says the CEO of Hotmart, João Pedro Resende.
Applications are open until 31 July and must be made by a hotsite. For registration, in addition to following the guidelines of the regulation, the applicant startup must record a video of up to two minutes about the business, saying why the idea deserves to be selected, upload the video to Youtube or similar platform, and send the link on subscription. Remember that participants must have an innovative business, with up to three years of experience, focused on technology, entrepreneurship or education.
In the first phase, 500 startups will be selected, which will undergo a regional selection to elect 50 ideas. From this universe, 20 startups will be chosen for an exclusive mentoring process with market professionals. The semifinal will feature ten startups, six of which will be awarded the investment.
The panel of judges includes João Pedro Resende, CEO and co-founder of Hotmart; Ankur Nagpal, CEO and founder of Teachable; Ademir Xavier, CFO of Hotmart Company; Nathalia Cavalieri, VP of Marketing at Hotmart; and Frederico Montezuma, Global M&A Director at Hotmart.
