The PP and Vox have reached an agreement for the composition of the Table of the Madrid Assembly. The popular they will give up a position a the formation led by Rocío Monasterio, who has asked for a reduction in the number of deputies in the Madrid Parliament.

Ignacio Arias Moreno, from Vox, will occupy the Second Vice Presidency of the Assembly of Madrid thanks to the votes of the PP. The First Vice Presidency will be for the PP deputy Jorge Rodrigo and the Third for Esther Rodriguezby Más Madrid.

The right and the extreme right take the majority of the Assembly Table: ehe PP will have four of the seven seats while Vox will have one. The left will have only two seats: one for Más Madrid and one for the PSOE. We can stay out.

Vox has claimed the PP go from 136 deputies to 69 in the next legislature, which would require a modification of the Statute of Autonomy, which must be proposed by a third of the House deputies and have a two-thirds majority to be able to approve it, a qualified majority that does not add up to both formations.

PP sources have confirmed that there has been an agreement for the distribution of the members of the Table but they have pointed out that the reduction in the number of deputies will be studied “in the coming months”, while they have recalled that it is a proposal that Isabel Díaz Ayuso carried on his electoral program.

No minute of silence

Following this agreement between PP and Vox, the extreme right has blocked keeping a minute of silence for the sexist murder in Pozuelo, in which a man shot his wife to death during the constitution of the Madrid Assembly.

The Parliamentary Group of Vox, president in the Age Table in the Assembly, has refused to observe that minute of silence. This Age Table is made up of the oldest deputy of the 136 new parliamentarians, Mariano Calabuig (Vox) and the two youngest, Elisa Vigil (PP) Y Javier Guardiola (PSOE), as secretaries. PSOE proposed that before the plenary session of the Constitution of the XII Legislature a minute of silence be observed for this woman.

Carballedo, president

The until now Minister of the Presidency of the Government of the Community of Madrid, María Eugenia Carballedo, has been named President of the Madrid Assembly in the XII Legislature, which will last a maximum of two years.

With the votes in favor of the right-wing bloc, the former councilor, proposed by Isabel Díaz Ayuso, to the Popular Parliamentary Group, has become the 13th president of the regional Chamber after a secret ballot vote.

More Madrid on the PSOE site
