Torreón, Coahuila. – Governor Miguel Ángel Riquelme Solís went to cast his vote at Box 1,466, located in the “Evangelina Valdez Dávila” School, in the Anna neighborhood, accompanied by his wife, Marcela Gorgón, and his family.

The state president received the report that the electoral process in the entity has been going on so far with tranquility and security.

He reported that at the time of his statement, 90 percent of the boxes were located, out of a universe of 3,903 throughout Coahuila.

For what he argued that the best thing is that everything passes like this, calmly, for the good of the democracy of the entity and the Country.

“Today we guarantee that the entity can vote calmly and that it will be a peaceful election day with a guarantee for everyone,” he said.

Riquelme Solís calculated that citizen participation will be between 55 and 58 percent; that is, more than 2 million voters, and the most important thing is that the right of citizens to freely cast their vote is guaranteed.

He said that he will be from the Government Palace coordinated with the Mexican Army, with the National Guard, the State and Municipal Police, to guarantee the security of the process.

Miguel Riquelme reiterated that another fact of the highest priority is the situation of the mine in Múzquiz.

He pointed out that helicopters will be flying overhead in the entity to provide security in the Laguna, Center, North and Southeast regions, to ensure that there are no incidents.

“I must guarantee that the elections take place in an environment of tranquility, security and social peace for each and every citizen,” said the Coahuilense Governor.

Finally, he said that so far the incidents in the entity are minor.
