Cisneros reminded Miranda: "He brought Peronism back to the government"

The death of former governor Julio Miranda shook Peronism, a party that he returned to power in the province, which has ruled for 22 uninterrupted years. The current national deputy, Carlos CisnerosHe recalled that the former leader of the oil tankers knew how to govern “one of the most difficult moments in our history.”

Miranda died today at the age of 74, the same day that more than two decades ago he returned Lucas Córdoba’s chair to the Justicialist Party.

The province had been led between 1995 and 1999 by Antonio Domingo Bussi and everything suggested that his son Ricardo would succeed him at the head of the Executive. However, in a tight election, Miranda achieved what seemed difficult: unite Peronism to achieve victory.
