Arrest in Brühl: After the attack on the tanning salon, initially the escape

The 22-year-old is said to have tried to steal cash in a tanning salon on Pingsdorfer Strasse on the evening of April 5. He is said to have threatened an employee (28) with a pistol and fled without prey when she shouted for help.

Despite an immediate search, which also included police helicopters, the suspect was able to escape – presumably on tram line 18 in the direction of Bonn.

Gas station robbery in Brühl: cashier (28) was threatened with a pistol

A month later, he is said to have struck again. This time in a gas station on Römerstrasse, where on the evening of May 11th at the cash register he pulled a pistol out of his striking turquoise-blue jacket, threatened the cashier (22) with it and stole cash. Again he was able to escape.

But that a mundane purchase would now be fatal for him – the 22-year-old had certainly not expected that. Police officers from the Rhein-Erft police station found the man wanted by arrest warrant on Wednesday at around 5:30 p.m. in a supermarket on Lessingstrasse and arrested him. A little later, the 22-year-old went to jail. (iri)
