Tevez, on his departure from Boca: "I have nothing else to give him"

Carlos Tevez, one of the top idols of Boca Juniors, confirmed today his early departure from the institution, even though he had a current contract until next December, and said he was “not mentally prepared” for the demands of professional football at that club.

“Boca needs me 120% and mentally I’m not for that,” said the attacker, 37, at the start of a press conference that he gave today in the Filiberto room in La Bombonera

“I am full with this decision. I have nothing else to give. I gave everything. That’s why I’m happy, ”said the former Corinthians of Brazil striker; Manchester United, from England; and Juventus, from Italy, among other entities.

Dressed in an orange diver and flanked by the president of Boca, Jorge Amor Ameal, the idol “xeneize” continued describing his feelings: “it’s not a farewell, it’s a see you soon. I will always be there for the fan, for the xeneize people, not as a player, but as the ‘Carlitos’ of the people ”.

Tevez justified his decision by noting that he did not make “the corresponding mourning” after the death of his father, Segundo, which occurred last February. “I didn’t have time to mourn my father’s death and I was already playing back. This is the requirement of Boca ”, he considered.

“For me Boca is the best club in the world, my dad; my brothers, my wife, my children are from Boca. I can’t lie to you. My decision is purely and exclusively mine, “he added.
