The company uses Tableau, a Data Analytics tool whose project management is led from its center in Zaragoza, in order to improve the global vision of resource capacities for the manufacture of medical supplies such as vaccines, masks or assisted respirators.

This line of action is part of a collaborative project, which began with the health crisis caused by covid-19 in 2020 to fight the pandemic, the result of the synergy between Devoteam -leading consultant in digital strategy and technological platforms-, and the IDiA business group based in Zaragoza and the European Commission.

This project is based on the use of Tableau, a Data Analytics tool, to improve the global vision of the capacity of resources for the manufacture of various medical supplies such as masks or respirators.

Initially, this initiative focused on these resources and the production of PPE at a time when speed was critical due to the shortage of these equipment, but now, data related to the production and distribution of vaccines in Europe is being analyzed, as indicated by company sources to the Economist

Devoteam has provided the license and the Tableau platform -prepared in less than 48 hours-, for this collaborative project in order to have this information tool available in real time and in a fast and visual way. This technology has provided knowledge and responsiveness to serve organizations and individuals in the fight against the pandemic.

Based on highly confidential data hosted in the Cloud, a series of dashboards or visualization panels have been designed with Tableau Desktop, which have subsequently been securely shared on Tableau Online with the European Commission and organizations such as the European Clusters Alliance (ECA). ) and the Council of European BioRegions (CEBR).

This project has made it possible to have an interactive map that reflects the availability of resources throughout the European territory, including relevant data on the entities or suppliers, their location, contacts, stages of the supply chain in which they carry out their activity. , manufacturing volume, availability of the resource, manufacturing technologies used or identified bottlenecks, among other parameters.

In this year 2021, the project has focused on the field of vaccine production, dividing into three different phases. The first of them has been based on knowing and representing the capacities and resources for the production of vaccines in the European Union to make, later, a matchmaking event in Europe, which took place on March 29 and 31 to put in contact to more than 300 companies, suppliers and organizations involved in the different phases of production so that these contacts generate business, ensuring fair competition.

In the third phase, Tableau is used to analyze the results and trends with the data from this event to design an improved strategy for current and future vaccine production in Europe.
