Death of Yves Rénier: Jean-Luc Reichmann, still devastated, pays tribute to him

More than a month after the death of Yves Rénier, Jean-Luc Reichmann is still extremely touched. He posted on June 3, 2021, a photo of himself and the actor, who died at the age of 78.

Your voice, your laughter … I miss our exchanges” wrote Jean-Luc Reichmann in the caption of a photo where he appears alongside Yves Rénier, who died on April 24, 2021. The famous interpreter of Commissioner Moulin succumbed to a heart attack when he was only 78 years old. His sudden death had left the host of Twelve strokes of noon, voiceless.

Very close, the two men had met 20 years ago at the Roland Garros tournament. More recently, they had toured together in Léo Mattéï, miners’ brigade on TF1, Jean-Luc Reichmann had also received Yves Rénier in his game show. When the news of his friend’s death was announced, he had already published this message on Instagram: “Yves … Tell me it’s not possible. We were still on the phone yesterday. I kiss you like I love you“he wrote.

They had traded shortly before his death

Jean-Luc Reichmann had later revealed the content of this last exchange in the Parisian: “He said “Hey, 5.3 million daddy, well done!”[NDLR : en référence au nombre de téléspectateurs devant sa série Léo Matteï] He was in great shape and we had to eat together to celebrate. Unfortunately, fate decided otherwise.

Yves Rénier’s funeral took place at the Saint-Pierre church in Neuilly-sur-Seine, where he lived and where he died. His wife, his children but also closer ones like Véronique Genest, Mathilde Seigner, Jean-Luc Azoulay or Jean-Luc Reichmann had come to pay him a last tribute. The host had also shared a photo of the comedian disappeared with this moving caption: “In my heart you won’t die“.
