The decision to advance the school period of winter recess or to keep it as planned in the calendar will depend on each province, which may make a determination based on the epidemiological and health situation of the district in the framework of the coronavirus pandemic, according to It was resolved today by the Federal Council of Education.

“The decision will be determined by the health indicators of each of the jurisdictions”, informed the Minister of Education, Nicolás Trotta, after the meeting with the holders of the educational portfolios of the 24 jurisdictions.

At the meeting held this morning, a roadmap was proposed for decision-making regarding the modification of the school calendar due to the need to modify the dates of the winter break in those territories that the second wave of Covid-19 has impacted with greater harshness, as reported from the ministry.

Likewise, he considered that “modifying the school calendar has an educational cost, linked to the organization, to which certain learning processes and evaluation instances will be ending, but we are willing as an educational system to do so if it is considered necessary.”
