The investigation of the Erial plot has not only found another 6 million euros in Andorra allegedly attributed to the former Valencian minister and president, Eduardo Zaplana, but also has already allowed the seizure and judicial disposition of nine of the 10.8 million initially detected in the plot led by Zaplana, that supposedly was nourished by the rigging of the wind power plans and the Valencian ITV, among other corrupt businesses.

The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office confirms to Cadena SER that a total of seven million euros that belonged to Eduardo Zaplana have been recovered and entered in the judicial deposit account, which was kept by his front man, Fernando Belhot.

Belhot has voluntarily handed over the money

It was Belhot himself, who collaborates with the prosecutors and has shown his repentance, who has voluntarily handed over the money. As Zaplana does not recognize that money as his, these sources recall, there is no possibility that he can recover it and those seven million will go to swell the state coffers.

The other two million have been confiscated from another member of the network: who was the former director of the Cabinet of the former Valencian president, Juan Francisco García.

In addition to cash, there are numerous real estate, land and other property seized on a provisional basis., waiting for the trial to take place and for the sentence to determine whether they should be used to satisfy the possible fines and civil liabilities for the crimes committed.
