By exposing themselves on social networks, public figures are unfortunately often confronted with sometimes very virulent attacks from Internet users. David Baïot paid the price for the hatred of some of them on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. After being active on Instagram by expressing his disgust at the recent racist attacks reported by the media, the ex-interpreter of Djawad in More beautiful life was the target of two anonymous people. The latter slipped him racist messages of great violence.
David Baïot did not hesitate to share them again via his story Instagram. “Dirty monkey, go back to your forest …“, was first addressed to him. To which the actor replied:”Another one with balls as big as hazelnuts hiding behind his keyboard …“
The sequel does not fly much higher since another hater tried to destabilize him by commenting under his last post with his godson: “Long live Hitler, the next Holocaust will be for you“. Again, David Baïot replied, with irony.”We have the big winner of the day !! He is in good shape, the little one! Go change your diapers and come back and talk to me“. As noted by our colleagues from TV 7 days, David Baïot has decided not to keep silent in the face of this kind of racist attacks. “I’m shocked. For the past few weeks, I have been facing racist remarks and I can no longer let it go. (…) Our parents took it upon themselves, but our generations no longer have to. I will no longer tolerate any form of racism, misogyny, homophobia and the like. (…) Many like me suffer from it on a daily basis, without saying anything, justifying these remarks by stupidity, but let’s stop covering our face“, did he declare.
If the perpetrators are found, there is a very high risk. Indeed, according to the law, these virtual crimes can incur a fine of 12,000 euros for public defamation and one year in prison and a fine of 45,000 euros if the racist, anti-Semitic or sexist characters are retained.
