Albarracín raised the need for "tax exceptions for SMEs"

The lieutenant governor Osvaldo Jaldo and parliamentarians from different blocks, held a working meeting with members of the Economic Federation of Tucumán (FET), the Chamber of Hoteliers and different Chambers of Commerce of the province.

At the meeting, the legislator Raul Albarracin (PJS) raised the “need for there to be economic exceptions to the sector, for example with the AFIP or the IPLA, among other organizations that exercise a heavy tax burden.” The parliamentarian also mentioned the rents that “although there is ease of payment, they have a due date and must be completed by all taxpayers.”

In that sense, he spoke of “generating oxygen for all our commercial activity and for the SMEs that are the generators of genuine work in our province.”

In addition, he said that in the face of the second wave of coronavirus and the new restrictions imposed by the national government, “SMEs are once again the most affected productive link, dragging a crisis that has been going on for more than 14 months and the result of which is materialized in the closure -only in the year 2020- of 90,000 businesses, 42,000 companies and 20,000 jobs destroyed in the formal sector of our country. Accompanying measures are insufficient given the magnitude of this emergency, especially in highly affected sectors such as tourism, hotels, gastronomy, certain commercial branches, among others, “he warned

In this context, he proposed a series of measures at the provincial level:

1- Extension of tax due on Gross Income and Public Health for three months.

2- Postpone for 90 days the payment of the moratorium fees with the Revenue Directorate that the SMEs have in force.

3- Suspension of the stamp tax.

4- Defer maturity and exempt interest for 90 days from the payment of electricity, gas and water to affected companies.

5- Exempt the payment of IPLA.

6- Suspension of administrative procedures and executive processes.

7- Zero rate credits for SMEs with at least one year of service in a critical situation.
