A City police officer shot his 6-year-old daughter to death while arguing with her partner

A 6-year-old girl died this Sunday after being shot in the abdomen at his home in the Buenos Aires district of La Matanza during a discussion between his father, cash of the City Police, who was arrested for the crime, and his mother, of the same strength. The hypothesis that the police handle, in principle, is that the shot would have been directed to the ground to threaten his partner but ended up rebounding and hit the abdomen of his daughter Victoria, who was also in the dining room.

After the impact, the girl was taken to the Domingo Roca Health Center in Virrey del Pino, where she was admitted deceased as a result of the gunshot wound.

Prosecutor Gastón Duplaa, from the Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) Thematic Homicide of La Matanza, intervenes in the case, who ordered the arrest of the policeman for the crime of “qualified homicide” and the seizure of his weapon, a 9mm caliber Bersa Thunder pistol.

In the next few hours Herrera will be investigated by the prosecutor, who tries to determine if the defendant shot towards the ground or towards the girl. For this, it will also be necessary to wait for the results of the rigorous expert opinions that the Scientific Police carried out at the crime scene.
