AHMSA owes 200 million pesos to 40 companies in Canacintra

Almost two years after Altos Hornos de Mexico (AHMSA) stopped paying its local suppliers for its services, as of today the debt to 40 partners of the National Chamber of the Transformation Industry in Monclova it oscillates in more than 200 million pesos.

This was announced by the president of the same, Alejandro Loya Galaz noting that it is a very strong amount for medium and small companies, although not for AHMSA, “it is what they earn every 15 minutes but they cannot pay it,” he stated.

At the moment the Canacintra is looking for a way to resume payments as soon as possible, because there are some companies that have received some amounts considered as “credits” but many others have not, a situation that puts them in a critical state.

Loya Galaz He mentioned that it has been ruled out until today that the partners legally proceed against the steel company for non-payment of their services, in any case the head of the chamber will approach with “the most desperate businessmen” to wait for have a dialogue with the directors of the company and do not seek to pressure in any other way.

“There are 40 companies that bring AHMSA payment problems and with an amount just over 200 million pesos,” said the leader of the Canacintra in Monclova.
