The Acer company has launched renovations of existing lines in addition to a new equipment, the Acer Swift X, which comes as a very powerful computer to face computers like Microsoft’s Surface or Apple’s MacBook Pro face-to-face. Chromebooks with up to 17-inch screen size
Chromebooks do not finish taking off in Spain, but Acer’s commitment is constant and today they have presented four new models. Between all these devices The one that stands out the most is the Acer Chromebook 317 and it does so because it has a large screen, being specific it is 17.3 inches. The resolution is Full HD or 1920 pixels x 1080 pixels, it has an autonomy of up to 10 hours and includes two USB 3.2 type C ports.
Next on the list is the Acer Chromebook Enterprise 514 with 14 inches of touch screen size and 11th generation Intel Core processors. The autonomy, in principle, is up to 10 hours. It has obtained the MIL-STD 810H certification which provides resistance to possible shocks or falls.
Another team with 14 inches is the Acer Chromebook 314 whose main asset is the weight, as it has been reduced to 1.5 kilograms. Of course, it is also interesting to see that it mounts a MediaTek processor and that is why Acer’s assure that it can withstand up to 15 hours of activity.
The Spin convertibles have not been lacking either, two models have been announced: Acer Chromebook Spin 713 and Acer Chromebook Enterprise Spin 713. Inside both computers are 11th generation Intel Core processors. The screens of both teams are 13.5 inches with a resolution of 2,256 x 1,504 pixels. They are compatible with Thunderbolt 4 connectivity for data transfer and equipment charging.
Predator gaming monitors with up to 175Hz refresh rate, HDR and 4K resolutions
The monitors intended for the most gamers have also had their space in this product presentation. Acer has announced three new monitors, all of them VESA DisplayHDR certified and with distinctive features depending on how you want to use them.
The first is the greatest, the Predator CG437K S. This monitor has a size of 42.5 inches and a corresponding resolution, UHD or 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. Supports NVIDIA G-SYNC And, for those who have a next-generation console, it has HDMI 2.1 ports. As for the refresh rate, it can go up to 144Hz and with a VRB response time of 1 millisecond. The maximum brightness is 1000 nits and it is VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified.
The second monitor is the Predator X38 S, its size is more modest and stays at 37.5 inches. The design is curved and therefore ultra-wide with a resolution of UWQHD + or 3,840 x 1,600 pixels. It integrates NVIDIA G-SYNC support and the refresh rate is up to 175Hz, the response time is 0.3 milliseconds from gray to gray. The panel technology is IPS and the HDR certification is VESA DisplayHDR 600.
The third and last monitor is the Predator X28, its own name indicates that it is 28 inches. In terms of resolution, it does not fall short and is UHD or 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. The panel that it mounts is IPS and with a response time of up to 155Hz in addition to the compatibility with NVIDIA G-SYNC. In the color section, it integrates the VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification.
Predator Orion and Nitro, desktop to give everything in the games
Having seen the monitors, it is time to talk about the after-dinner meals. Acer has renewed the Predator Orion and Nitro gaming equipment. The former are intended for the most enthusiastic who are looking for the best of the best, while the latter are aimed at less demanding users who are looking for a remarkable and smooth performance.
The Acer Predator Orion 3000 integrates an 11th generation Intel Core i7 processor accompanied by an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 and with up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM.. In addition, it integrates Intel Killer E2600 connectivity to improve wired and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity if you prefer to use wireless networks. Regarding the storage configuration there will be several options such as, for example, up to 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD being the configuration of two disks of 1TB each and with up to 6TB HDD in configurations of two disks of 3TB each.
The Acer Nitro 50 bets on the choice of processors, both Intel and AMD. It can be configured with both the AMD Ryzen 9 Series 5900 and the 11th generation Intel Core i7. The graphic section is more modest and integrates the NVIDIA RTX 3060Ti and the RAM configuration can reach up to 64GB with DDR4 technology. It is also interesting that computers in this range can optionally integrate a Qi wireless charging area for mobile devices.
Predator Triton and Helios gaming laptops
Not only have desktop gaming computers been unveiled, but top-of-the-line gaming laptops have also made an appearance. This are the Predator Triton 500 SE and the Predator Helios 500. Both have very similar technical specifications, include the 11th generation Intel® Core ™ i9 processor and combine it with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30XX series graphics, being able to mount even an RTX 3080. In addition to up to 64GB of RAM and 4TB of SSD storage.
They differ in the screens because the Predator Triton 500 SE has a 16-inch diagonal in 16:10 format with a screen-to-body ratio of 87% and several options for the panel, one of them offering the possibility of a Mini LED WQXGA panel at 165Hz. But there is also an IPS panel with up to 240Hz. In the Predator Helios 500 the screen is 17.3 inches, there are options and one of them is a Mini Led 4K panel with 120Hz; the other is a VA Full HD panel and up to 360Hz as a refresh rate.
Acer TravelMate P6 and TravelMate Spin P6 Business Laptops
Leaving aside the gaming equipment, now we have to get fully into professional laptops such as the Acer TravelMate, now they have two new members that are the Spin P6 and the P6 to dry. Both laptops share characteristics in terms of power and design, the only difference is that the Spin P6 is a convertible and can be used as a tablet thanks to the hinge and the integrated stylus.
In terms of specifications, the chosen processors are the 11th generation Intel Core vPro. The screen is 14 inches with Full HD resolution and with an IPS panel with 100% coverage of the sRGB color gamut. Being equipment intended for work, they have a restrained design and a fairly light weight, they are 16.8 millimeters thick and 1 kilogram in weight. It is interesting to see that they have 5G and NFC connectivity.
Acer ConceptD, teams designed for designers and creatives
The latest to be announced are the notebooks designed for designers and creatives, these are the Acer ConceptD 3, 3 Ezel, 5, 5 Pro and 7 Ezel. All three teams have completely niche technical characteristics, such as the use of NVIDIA RTX graphics with Ampere architecture and that are designed for demanding graphics processing environments.
The most modest of all is the Acer ConceptD 3, but it still comes with 11th generation Intel Core H Series processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 350Ti graphics. along with PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage. The displays of both this model and the ConceptD 3 Ezel have Pantone validation that ensures 100% sRGB coverage and Delta E <2 color accuracy.
They are followed by ConceptD 5 and 5 Pro, these laptops mount a 16-inch screen with QHD resolution or 3,072 x 1,920 pixels and with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Regarding the color calibration, it is validated by Pantone and is capable of displaying 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut with a Delta E <2 color precision. The power is marked by the 11th generation Intel® Core ™ H-series processors, along with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, although for the pro model you can also choose a graphics from the RTX Ampere series.
The spearhead is the Acer ConceptD 7 Ezel that comes with an 11th generation Intel® Core ™ i7-11800H and an NVIDIA RTX 3080 graphics, although if it falls short there is also the 7 Ezel Pro model that would mount an Intel Xeon W-11955M processor and GPU for NVIDIA RTX A5000 or A3000 notebooks. As for the screen, this is tactile and its diagonal is 15.6 inches with 4K resolution, in addition to a Pantone validation that covers 100% of the Adobe RGB color gamut with a Delta E <2 color accuracy.
