The Foreign Ministry of Panama must demand compliance with the guarantees and constitutional rights of the Martinelli Linares brothers as Panamanians, when there are already precedents of having done so with other cases, denounced Luis Eduardo Camacho González and Luis Eduardo Camacho Castro, lawyer and secretary general of Realizar Goals, respectively. They also requested that they request the immediate release of both deputies as they had been illegally detained, since they possessed Diplomatic Immunity.
The lawyer Camacho González said that: ¨ there is a recognition of immunity as members of Parlacen and the government of Guatemala could not order their arrest, therefore, we request that the Foreign Ministry of Panama manifest itself and comply with defending them as it should with any citizen Panamanian wherever you are¨.
Camacho Castro explained that the Martinelli brothers entered Guatemala when only nationals or people as diplomats could enter and their immunity was recognized by the Parlacen’s Extraordinary Credentials Commission. Prior to this, a favorable opinion was given on June 27, 2019 to the credential issued in favor of Luis Enrique Martinelli by the Electoral Tribunal of Panama, said Camacho Castro.
“Nito” with wet wick and sour milk
The Secretary General of Realiendo Metas (RM) also urged President Laurentino Cortizo to put order in his government and make his team work and not be in politics. “Nito says that his wick is short, but it got wet and he also says that he has condensed milk, but I think what he has is sour milk,” added Camacho Castro.
For his part, Félix Moulanier, director of Making Goals, said that if a government and a chancellor are not capable of defending the interests of a Panamanian, they are not capable of defending the interests of anyone, not even the people.
Moulanier announced a protest for Tuesday, June 1 at the premises of the Foreign Ministry, located near Bolívar Park at 4 in the afternoon, to demand that Chancellor Erika Mouynes. that she fulfills her constitutional role as an official.
