Antwerp Giants will keep coach Christophe Beghin on board for longer

Christophe Beghin will also remain at the helm of Antwerp Giants next season. The contract of his assistant Randy Oveneke was also extended by 1 season.

“The board believes in the current sporting staff”, Giants chairman Björn Verhoeven responds.

“We understand the difficult (corona) conditions and we know that the departure of 3 players during the season has not been easy for the sporting activities of the team. Nevertheless, we are in the semi-finals of the play-offs.”

“So there will be no changes in the composition of our sporting staff next season. We want to end these play-offs nicely and are already looking forward to the renewed competition formula of the BNXT League and a new European campaign.”

The 41-year-old Beghin succeeded Roel Moors in the summer of 2019 and previously worked there as an assistant coach and player. He was 3 times Player of the Year with the Giants.
