How a success was cataloged the first day of operation of the express car for the application of the AstraZeneca vaccine on the grounds of the Azuero International Fair, where 560 people were vaccinated.
These are volunteers registered in the plataforma www.panamasolidario.gob.pa/vacunas and with an appointment scheduled for this day, which began on Tuesday and will last for 10 days, with the purpose of vaccinating about five thousand people.
During the first day of vaccination, a logistics that requires the participation of more than 150 people was tested, including nurses, doctors, nursing technicians, support personnel, in addition to the volunteers of the Active Club 20-30.
According to the official report, a total of 560 people received their dose of AstraZeneca vaccine against Covid-19, on its first day of operation.
Nidia Esther Flores, 54, and resident in Las Flores de Pesé, province of Herrera, became the first person to receive the vaccine from the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, in the express car of the Azuero International Fair.

After receiving her dose, Mrs. Flores indicated that she attended to be vaccinated after her daughter made an appointment for her, in order to protect herself and stay healthy.
“At first I was scared, but then I thought about it and said this is it.the only way to get out of this pandemic, “said the resident, who arrived in a taxi to the fair, and was transported in an official vehicle to make the journey, as part of the support of government entities for people without vehicles.
In the Express Vaccination for the provinces of La Herrera and Los Santos, a total of 245 women and 315 men were vaccinated according to the official registry, with appointments scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. the afternoon.
During the first day of vaccination at the Azuero Fair, The first lady of the Republic, Yazmín Colón de Cortizo, toured the verification and vaccination posts set up for the day, and reiterated that Panama recently received a shipment of 204 thousand doses of the Astrazeneca vaccine, of which eight thousand doses will soon be destined for the provinces of Herrera and Los Santos.
The First Lady stressed that in June the country will receive large quantities of vaccine and emphasized the importance of registering through the platform, in order to receive confirmation of an appointment.
