An intelligence work by agents of the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (Dirincri) of the PNP allowed the preliminary arrest of 23 people, alleged members of the criminal organization ‘Los tractores’, who are being investigated for the crimes of human trafficking, illicit drug trafficking and corruption of officials.

The interventions were carried out in the cities of Huacho, Huaura, Huaral and Chancay, in the province of Lima, and in Huarmey in the department of Áncash, where 31 properties were searched and assets were seized by order of the Huaral Preparatory Investigation Court.
As reported by the PNP, these subjects captured their victims on social networks. Among these were minors under thirteen and adolescents, who under violence and threats with firearms were forced to prostitute themselves, traffic drugs and suck as companions.
“Then they were sexually abused by members of the criminal organization and offered as merchandise,” it was indicated.
The detainees were identified as Edwin Jaime Barrientos Soto alias ‘Chacal’, alleged leader of the gang; Jorge Raúl Bernachea Fuentes ‘Mostro’; Eduardo Santiago Maldonado Saavedra ‘Chaga’; Jeraldine Lizet Ramírez Valentín ‘Yeral; Henry Schnaider Barrientos Soto (a) ‘Henry’; Vladimir William Osorio Andrade ‘Kiko or Vlady’; Johnny César Casana Mercado ‘Tuni’ and Elmer Raúl Cárdenas Ascensio ‘Huevero’.
Likewise, Oswaldo Simón Caqui Rodríguez ‘Caqui o Verona’; Elvis Roger Natividad Martel ‘Cojo Roy’; Manuel Alcides Mejía Quito ‘Mañu’; Osmar Enrique Sevillano Asencio ‘Osmar’; Andrés Raúl Sifuentes Trujillo ‘Andrez’; Leonardo Fabio Espinoza Julca ‘Fabio or Veri’; César Daniel Estrada Remigio ‘Piry’; Sayuri Camila Tafur Ortiz ‘Camila’ and Mauro Jarry Perez Ruiz.
Héctor Cabello García (24), Jhon Alfredo Ríos Maza (28), Jhonatan Antony Ganoza Valeria (20), Edwin Omar Zambrano Ramírez (23), David Junior Delgado Ruiz (26) and Lucia Fossil Bracha were also arrested in flagrante delicto (25) for being involved in the alleged crimes of human trafficking, illicit drug trafficking, common danger and corruption of officials.
Dirincri agents also seized three firearms (pistols), a revolver, a compressed air rifle, 5 kilograms of cocaine alkaloid and approximately one kilogram of marijuana (Canabis sativa), as well as money, laptops, cell phones and memory units. Agents from the Anti-Drug Directorate and other units also participated in the operation.
