Taxpayers will be able to request an appointment from this week for the personal attention of the Income

Taxpayers will be able to start requesting their prior appointment for face-to-face care of the income statement corresponding to the year 2020, although it will be the June 2 when the Tax Agency will begin to assist citizens in their offices for the preparation and presentation of documents.

At the close of Thursday, May 20, the Tax Agency has already returned more than 3,700 million euros 5.6 million taxpayers. In total, 10.3 million returns have been submitted, of which 7.7 million correspond to amounts to be returned, according to the data provided by the Tax Agency.

It is planned that throughout the campaign 21,570,000 declarations are filed, 2.1% more than the previous year. Of that total, it is expected that 14,330,000 give the right to refund, two thirds of the total and 1% less than the previous year, for an amount of 10,857 million euros. In turn, 5,960,000 declarations are expected to be filed, 5.7% more, for an amount of 12,976 million.

The Tax Agency highlights that the main characteristic of this year’s campaign is the planned reinforcement of personalized assistance for those affected by the Temporary Employment Regulation Files (ERTE) and the recipients of the Minimum Vital Income (IMV).

More than 300,000 face-to-face statements in 2020

In last year’s rental campaign, a total of 316,900 tax returns Through the face-to-face assistance service in offices, according to the latest data collected by the Tax Agency.

This year as a novelty, the Tax Agency has incorporated a new means of assistance through the Income ‘Informant’. This tool, accessible on the web in the section dedicated to the campaign, includes all the traditional income information blocks, although restructured and systematized to be able to offer the information that each taxpayer requires from simple questions asked by the tool itself.

Regarding other channels, although not new, the Tax Agency began the preparation of statements by telephone Through the ‘We Call You’ plan, which this year maintains a design that allows serving the same profile of taxpayers as in the face-to-face service at the offices from day one, and also to new groups that need it, such as recipients of the Minimum Vital Income (IMV) or of the Temporary Employment Regulation File (ERTE).

Regarding this presentation channel, once the taxpayer requests an appointment (the application is recommended online or through automatic service at 901 12 12 24 and 91 535 73 26) and chooses a morning or afternoon schedule, the system proposes a day and time to receive the call of the Agency official.

The Tax Agency recalls that it is very convenient for the taxpayer to have the necessary information and documentation available to make the statement when you receive the call.

In turn, and in order to mitigate eventual loss of appointments To the detriment of all taxpayers, citizens are asked to cancel the appointment in the same way for which they obtained it if they have decided not to use it.
