Coahuila registers the month with the most sexual crimes;  breaks April record in complaints

In Coahuila, sexual crimes continue to rise, even during April the record of more complaints for these crimes was broken since their measurement was implemented.

According to the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System, in the fourth month of this year 170 complaints were registered for crimes against freedom and sexual security, comprising seven different crimes, a number that had never been registered. A day, an average of 5.6 attacks of this type are recorded.

During 2021 there have been three of the four months with the highest number of complaints of this type. April leads with 170 research folders, followed by February with 164; in third place is May 2018 with 156, while March 2021 is the fourth month with the highest incidence, with 142 inquiries.

Given this situation, the first four-month period of 2021 ranks as the period with the highest number of investigations for these crimes, exceeding by 55 percent to 2020, which had been the year with the highest number of open inquiries.
