One of the confirmed performances for this long-awaited gala is from the South Korean band BTS, who will present their latest single “Butter” worldwide. The other novelty of the gala will be the presentation of Doja Cat and SZA, who will sing their most recent collaboration “Kiss Me More” that has more than 66 million views on YouTube since its premiere in April.

This single would be one of those that will be included in the next album to be released by Doja Cat, which will be called “Planet Her”. This will have a conceptual style -according to Billboard- in which landscapes from other worlds; as seen in the video clip for “Kiss Me More”.

Both singers will compete in the category of “Best Female R&B Artist” at the Billboard Music Awards this Sunday. Although, Doja Cat has 4 other nominations in other categories such as “Best New Artist”, “Best R&B Artist”, “Best R&B Album” and “Best R&B Song”.

On Sunday night the Jonas Brothers will also perform, who will have Marshmallow as a special guest. They will sing their latest collaboration “Leave Before You Love Me”.

Also, Karol G will be present at the gala that rewards the best of music. The Colombian artist will sing her two most recent hits “Bichota” and “El Makinon”, which belong to her third album “KG0516”.

Another of the Latin artists who will sing at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards will be the Puerto Rican Bad Bunny. The Weeknd will also hit the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles this Sunday. The organization has not yet revealed what song the artist will perform on stage.

The American duo Twenty one pilots will also present one of their most recent hits “Shy Away” at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards. This is part of their new album “Scales and Icy” which was released last Thursday, May 20 and has 11 new pop songs.

For her part, American Alicia Keys will pay tribute to her album “Songs in A Minor” 20 years after its release and will sing some of her best hits. In addition, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis along with The Sounds of Blackness and Ann Nesby will sing their iconic song “Optimistic” (1991) remotely from Prince’s Paisley Park in Minneapolis.

The American trio AJR will make their appearance at the gala with two of their most famous songs “Bang!” and “Way Less Sad”, which belong to the band’s fourth independent album “OK ORCHESTRA”.
