The Andalusian PP stops a new exodus of former positions of Citizens to its ranks so as not to endanger the Government of the Junta

The Andalusian PP has stopped a new exodus into their ranks of old positions of Citizens. That is the case of the one that was until last September delegate of the Minister of Education in Seville, Marta Escriv, which has requested this Friday its membership in the Popular Party of Seville, as reported by the EFE agency and confirmed by this newspaper.

However, the leadership of the Andalusian PP has ordered the suspension of its registration in application of the recent pact signed with Ciudadanos en Andaluca in order not to harm common interests and put the coalition at risk that governs the Junta de Andaluca.

As EL MUNDO has learned, Marta Escriv has been out of Ciudadanos for five months, when she requested her resignation as a militant and, therefore, could argue that she is not linked to that agreement that was signed in March, after the political earthquake caused by Murcia’s failed motion of censure.

Then, PP and Ciudadanos decided to shield Andalusia against instability that quickly spread to other coalition governments. And for that reason, both parties signed an agreement that was reported to the public by the Andalusian vice president and leader of Cs in the community, Juan Marn, and the counselor of the Presidency and government spokesman, They Bendodo. Both agreed not to extend to Andalusia the absorption of positions of Citizens that the Popular Party had undertaken in the rest of the country.

Marta Escriv was appointed number two by the Minister of Education, Javier Imbroda, when the government of the Board was formed in January 2019. Ten months later, Imbroda dispensed with her but offered her to be the territorial delegate in Seville. She was also dismissed from this position 9 months later, just a few days after the start of last year. Thus, Escriv – who was also a deputy for Citizens – has now been 8 months without an institutional position and 5 months without affiliation to the orange party.

The exodus of positions from Citizens to the PP is being coordinated in some way by Fran Hervas, who left Ins Arrimadas’s party and went to work for Pablo Casado’s team last March, after breaking the government agreement in the Community of Madrid.

Hervas, who was secretary of the Citizen Organization and a member of Albert Rivera’s narrow circle, had become an internal reference for the critical sector of Citizens in Andalusia, in which Marta Escriv is also assigned.
