In second place, with 23 percent of the responses, the “patrols” were placed by security agents; followed by the Environmental Police – also created in this City Council -, with 15 percent; the use of “video surveillance”, with 13 percent; and the app “Saltillo Seguro” —also from the administration that ends this year—, with 10 percent.

Safety in Saltillo, although it is one of the major concerns of society, is one of the positive indicators of the city.

In the latest results of the National Survey of Urban Public Safety, the capital of Coahuila has remained in the national top ten of cities with the least perception of insecurity.

At the end of the first quarter of this year, it was ranked eight in the country, with only 32.9 percent of its inhabitants surveyed who perceived that the town is unsafe.

ACCORDING TO THE NATIONAL URBAN PUBLIC SECURITY SURVEY,
In the first quarter of 2021, 46.8% of Saltillo interviewed said they felt unsafe at the ATM located on the public highway. However, with this figure the city was ranked as the third best in the country, behind Piedras Negras (32.7%) and Mérida (45.2%).

THE BANK, SAFER

In the same year, 25.8% of those surveyed in Saltillo indicated that they felt insecure in the bank, but, as in the previous case, said statistic ranked the capital of Coahuila as the third best in this area in the country, also behind PN (20.7%) and San Pedro Garza García (25.8%).
