This Thursday, the 20th, is celebrated the World Bee Day, and the date took Angelina Jolie to join National Geographic in an awareness campaign.
The 45-year-old actress posed for the publication with bees on her body and face, in an image that is stealing attention. The reason? Raise awareness for the conservation of bees and train beekeeping programs around the world.
For this session, Angeline wore a white bandeau dress made with sustainable materials and signed by Gabriela Hearst. The actress posed serenely, not being bothered by the insects. In order to attract the bees, attractive smells were placed on the skin of the Hollywood star. “It was very funny”, he admitted, adding that he had to remain motionless, which proved to be the greatest difficulty of the session. But the result pleased her. “I fell in love with the connection I had with these beautiful creatures”. I feel honored and lucky to have had this experience.
In an interview, Angelina spoke about her concerns about this issue. “With the many concerns that the world is facing, and the overload of bad news, this is a problem that we can control,” he said, explaining that the drop in the bee population is highly damaging to human life.
