Leigh Janiak, director of the great horror film Honeymoon (2014), has shot three films with which Netflix plan to scare you this summer. These are three adaptations of scary stories from the collection Fear Street from R. L. Stine, the author of another terrifying collection like Nightmares.
All three films, shared by some members of the cast, tell the same story, which seems to begin in 1994 when a group of teenagers discover that the terrible events that have haunted their Shadyside town for generations are interconnected. And, of course, that they may be the next targets.
The Street of Terror – Part 1: 1994 It is precisely how the first installment of the trilogy is titled, which will be released on July 2nd. It is starring Maya Hawke (Stranger Things), Jordana Spiro (Ozark), Kiana Madeira (The Flash) Y Ashley Zuckerman (Succession).
The Street of Terror – Part 2: 1978 the July 9th, incorporating to the cast Gillian Jacobs (Community), Sadie Sink (Stranger Things), Emily Rudd (The Romanovs), Benjamin Flores Jr. (Your Honor) and Ted Sutherland (The Deuce).
The Street of Terror – Part 3: 1666 It will be the last installment, premiere on July 16th. It includes several performers from the previous films, in addition to Fred Hechinger (News from the big world) O Darrell Britt-Gibson (Barry), among others.
