Orange Spain has announced to the unions its intention to implement a job cut plan that will affect a maximum of 485 people, around 15% of the workforce, according to union sources and the company itself.

The company will convene the legal representation of the workers in the next few days to a first meeting to start the negotiation on the way in which said process is going to be carried out, Orange has communicated, which has affirmed that the process will take place during May and June.

For their part, from the UGT they have explained that the ERE will be for technical, organizational and production reasons and that they flatly reject any measure that affects the workforce after the effort made during the covid pandemic.
