Repsol enters through the big door in the US: buys 40% of Hecate Energy that adds 40 GW renewables

Repsol just rang the bell. It begins its activity in renewables in the US with the purchase of 40% of the development of projects Hecate Energy, an American company that adds 40 GW of renewable and storage projects under development. From them, 16.8 GW correspond to photovoltaic projects in advanced phase and 4.3 GW to batteries for energy storage.

The entry into the shareholding of Hecate Energy represents for Repsol its first foray into the renewable market in the United States, one of the largest, most attractive and fastest growing in the world in this sector.

Once the conditions to make this purchase effective have been met, Repsol will become a developer and future operator of renewable projects in the country, which has a favorable environment for this business.
