A motorcyclist dragged a police officer 150 meters with his machine in Kamp-Linfort (Wesel district) and injured him slightly. A patrol had wanted to check the 32-year-old on Friday (May 7th) because he had no license plate, as the police announced on Monday (May 10th).
When one of the policemen got out of the car at a traffic light and spoke to the motorcyclist, he drove off despite the red light and dragged the 24-year-old officer with him. According to the information, the motorcycle overturned at a bus stop. The man tried to escape on foot but was caught.
The police found narcotics on him. A blood test was carried out, it was said. (dpa)
