This Monday a la 1 am will arrive from Moscow a new Aerolineas Argentinas flight with an estimated shipment of 500,000 doses of component 1 of the Sputnik V vaccine. With this shipment, Argentina will exceed 12.2 million doses received to vaccinate its population.
From December 24, 2020 to April 30 of this year, Argentina received 11,698,250 Sputnik V, Sinopharm and AstraZeneca vaccines, And until that moment 11,337,571 were distributed and 9,082,597 were applied, according to the data of the Public Vaccination Monitor, which allows to know in real time the progress throughout the country.
Of this total, 6,035,850 doses correspond to the Sputnik V vaccine (4,975,690 of the first component and 1,060,160 of the second component); 4,000,000 to Sinopharm; 580,000 to Covishield / AstraZeneca; and 1,082,400 from AstraZeneca that were received through the COVAX mechanism of the World Health Organization.
Between December and January, 820,150 doses of Sputnik arrived in the country (410,150 of the first component and 410,000 of the second).
In February, a total of 2,497,890 arrived: 917,890 correspond to the Sputnik V vaccine (729,090 to component 1 and 188,800 to component 2); 580,000 to Covishield and 1,000,000 to Sinopharm.
In March, 2,452,870 doses of vaccines against Covid-19 were received. Of that total, 2,234,470 are Sputnik (1,773,110 from component 1 and 461,360 from component 2) and 218,400 from AstraZeneca from the COVAX mechanism.
While in April, a total of 5,927,340 vaccines arrived in the country, of which 2,063,340 are from component 1 of Sputnik; 864,000 from AstraZeneca from the COVAX mechanism and 3,000,000 from Sinopharm.
On May 19, 861,600 doses of AstraZeneca will also arrive through COVAX to complete the immunization schedules of those who have already received the first dose of Covishield / AstraZeneca.
