The sports director of the Peruvian Football Federation, Juan Carlos Oblitas, published a video through social networks in which he showed his total rejection of a video of his that has been adulterated for political purposes by the Peru Libre party. The leader and former player of the Peruvian team is outraged by the situation and came out to clarify it with a video.

“Through my children I find out that the Peru Libre party is manipulating a video that we recorded a few years ago to encourage civility in our country. Now it turns out that this video has been turned into a campaign spot for Pedro Castillo’s party. I have nothing to do in these matters. I don’t really know the other people who participated in this video, I am outraged, the video does not belong to them and now they use it as political propaganda for the Peru Libre party. I have to say that I have absolutely nothing to do with the Peru Libre party or with Messrs. Castillo and Cerrón, “said Juan Carlos Oblitas.

Imagine if now that you are not in power you are doing this what you would do if you came to power. I am not going to vote for the Peru Libre party because I believe in my country with freedom. I never voted for Keiko and now I am not going to vote for her, I am going to vote in defense of democracy in my country, I want a country in which there is freedom and respect. I record this video because of the outrage I have felt for the use they have made, ”added the FPF sports director.

It is not the first time that a similar situation has occurred. Recently, Inés Melchor, our marathon runner, also had to go out to reject her participation with Peru Libre, as they had adulterated a video of her in the Election campaign in order to favor the party of candidate Pedro Castillo, who has been contesting the second round with the candidate Keiko Fujimori.
