The victory of Isabel Diaz Ayuso In the Madrid elections it was also reflected in the main industrial centers of the south and the Henares corridor, the traditional red belt of Madrid, which after the 4-M results has been completely dyed blue.

If two years ago the socialist candidacy of Angel Gabilondo It was imposed in municipalities such as Getafe, Móstoles, Leganés, Parla, Coslada or Alcalá de Henares, bringing together more than 30% of the votes in all of them – in Fuenlabrada it came close to 40% -, this Tuesday it was the popular candidacy that triumphed in those localities, with high percentages of vote that oscillate between 30% and 40%.

Ayuso got like this snatch from the PSOE its great voting grounds after a campaign in which the popular candidate was especially involved when visiting those towns by appealing to a vote that transcended “the initials of the PP”.

The leader of the popular also preserved, and expanded, her victory in traditional fiefdoms of her party, such as Pozuelo de Alarcón or Las Rozas, thus achieving an unmitigated victory in all the main municipalities of the region.

Ayuso wins in 177 out of 179 municipalities

Especially striking are the data in large cities north of the capital, Alcobendas and San Sebastián de los Reyes, where the PP has doubled its results, going from 25% to almost 50% of the vote in the first one; and climbing from 19% to 44% in the second.

But the triumph of the popular ones went much further because Ayuso also won in the medium and small towns, since he prevailed in practically the 179 municipalities of the Community of Madrid, whose map is now an intense blue. Only small towns such as Fuentidueña de Tajo or El Atazar, where Gabilondo won. And there was a technical tie between popular and socialists in the tiny nucleus of Navarredonda and San Mamés, in the Sierra Norte.

However, and although by very little, the PSOE was able to avoid, at least, the surprise of Más Madrid in the main cities of the Community, since it was second force in almost all of them. The candidacy of Monica Garcia it only managed to overtake the Socialists in Rivas-Vaciamadrid (25.1% -17.1%) and in Valdemoro (16.2% -14.3%). It also achieved it in Las Rozas (10.7% -10.6%), although in that town they were third and fourth forces because Vox joined the second.

The formation of Rocío Monastery It was also the second most voted party in Pozuelo de Alarcón, while it fell to fifth place in Rivas, Coslada, Leganés and Getafe, after being surpassed by Unidos Podemos, in addition to PP, PSOE and Más Madrid.

Citizens, for their part, confirmed his debacle in all the large municipalities by falling to sixth place, except in Las Rozas and Pozuelo, where it managed to surpass United Podemos.
