Before the arrival of the frosts, a total of 1050 veterinary kits will be delivered to seven districts of the Junín region in order to protect the cattle of high Andean producers, reported the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri).
The benefited districts are Commas (50), Canchayllo (100), Junin (250), Ondores (150), Chacapalpa (100), Marcapomacocha (200) and Santa Barbara de Carhuacayán (200).

The Executive Director of Agro Rural, Roxana Orrego, noted that this delivery sets in motion the start of the activities of the Multisectoral Plan Against Frost and Cold 2021 in Junín. Likewise, he indicated that the intervention of Agro Rural will contribute to the protection of 7,600 heads of sheep and South American camelids, mainly, which will enhance the productivity of family agriculture in the region.
In addition to the aforementioned, Orrego said that 35 forage conservation kits, 300 foliar application kits (agricultural input), 950 cultivated pasture kits (alfalfa, oats and forage barley) and 150 crop protection kits (phytotoldos) will also be delivered. ).

The foliar fertilizer will improve the productive capacity and protect the crops from the incidence of pests and / or diseases, and the cultivated pastures will help feed the livestock of those owners who lost their pastures due to frost.
