NBA: Antetokounmpo wins titanic duel against Durant, James' ankle worries again

In the top match of the day, Milwaukee had the last word against Brooklyn (117-114) after a tough get-together between the greats Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant. De Buck won the plea with 49 points, a PR this season, Durant stuck at 42 and saw his ultimate three-point attempt to force extra time fail.

Giannis played according to his MVP status. His shots went in, but he also stood his ground defensively (8 rbs). The Greak Freak got help from Khris Middleton (26 pts, 11 rbs, 6 ass) to take the win.

The Bucks remain 3rd, ahead of New York, which went on to win 97-122 in Houston. Milwaukee has to win 1 more time to be sure of the play-offs.

Brooklyn saw Philadelphia jump over her. The Sixers needed an extension to put San Antonio aside. The visitors could thank Ben Simmons on the buzzer with a successful rebound after a missed attempt by Joel Embiid (34 pts, 12 rbs).

We also have a new leader in the Western Conference. Utah didn’t play and saw Phoenix pass, which also beat host Oklahoma with some difficulty (120-123). As is often the case, Devin Booker was the best shooter (32 pts, 6 ass), averaging 30.6 points in his last 5 duels.

Boston had a bad night. The defeat at home against Portland (119-129) not only meant that they ended up in a 7th jump-off place, which the Celtics want to avoid. But especially the injuries of stars Jayson Tatum (33 pts) and Jaylen Brown (16 pts, 11 rbs) hit hard.

The two collided in the final seconds: Brown’s ankle and Tatum’s right knee came out unscathed. The 1st had to go to the dressing room supported by doctors, the 2nd limped in the same direction.

James felt pain in his right ankle again, which had cost him 40 days of absence. He didn’t play in the last 6’42 “. It was his 2nd match, after missing 20 with a sprained ankle.” The important thing is that I am back on top when it matters “, James responded.
