The Government of the Community of Madrid has developed an application to follow up to the minute the electoral results of May 4. The program will make it possible to consult in real time the provisional results obtained by all the candidacies by geographical area (community, municipalities, districts of the city of Madrid, population sections and geographical areas), and also group candidates to study possible compositions of the Assembly.

In parallel, the Executive has announced this Monday that journalists working in the Data Center of Pavilion 14 of Ifema will be able to find out about the elections through the robot Sophia, an intelligent humanoid-looking software capable of offering answers to different blocks of information.

Sophia, the regional government explained in a statement, has been developed in Hong Kong by the company Hanson Robotics, a company that has given Madrid its use for the election day of May 4, adapting the software of the robot so that the information you provide is fast and accurate.

The robot will be able to access the data on participation progress in order to be able to answer the media about them, detailing them by municipality. It will also provide information on health protection measures, voting by mail, accessible voting and on the resources available in mobile applications or on the web.

Sophia will be able to interact with the more than 160 accredited journalists through facial recognition, since it imitates human gestures and facial expressions, and will be able to answer any question on predefined topics, in this case the elections to the Madrid Assembly 2021.
