TUXTLA GUTIÉRREZ, Chis.- For presenting “presumably apocryphal” information, the Regional Chamber of the Electoral Tribunal of the Federal Judicial Power (TEPJF) Patricia Mass Lazos was withdrawn from the candidacy for federal deputy for Morena, PT and PVEM, and the state and federal authorities were given a hearing to investigate her.

In a public session held this Friday 30 by videoconference, the Xalapa Regional Chamber revoked the agreement of the General Council of the National Electoral Institute (INE) with which the registration of the formula of Mass Lazos and his alternate was approved by the principle of relative majority. The women were nominated for the 02 Indigenous Federal Electoral District, headquartered in Bochil, by the “Together We Make History” coalition, made up of Morena and the Labor (PT) and Verde Ecologista de México (PVEM) parties.

The magistrate and the magistrates of the Chamber determined that the approval of the registration of the candidate formula is contrary to the Law, “Since the INE considered the requirement of having qualified indigenous self-registration based on irregular documentation as proven.”

Furthermore, they stressed, “There are signs of undue and deliberate alteration regarding the meaning of the verification act on the authenticity of the residence certificates presented by the candidates, as well as contradictions between the exhibited documentaries and the registry of said citizens.”
