"I underestimated the whole thing": Günther Jauch speaks openly about his corona infection

Günther Jauch (64) has finally reported back to his fans. At the beginning of April 2021, the RTL presenter announced that he had been infected with the corona virus. After being in quarantine for a while, Günther Jauch can finally work again. In an RTL interview, he revealed: “I underestimated the whole thing a bit.”

Shortly after his corona infection became known, Jauch contacted his numerous fans. He reported that the corona infection did not leave him without a trace. Jauch “didn’t feel so good” for two weeks. He also lost his sense of smell and taste for a short time.

Due to the corona infection, Jauch had to be in quarantine and pause his work. In three episodes of his show “Because they don’t know what’s happening” (RTL) – alongside Barbara Schöneberger (47) and Thomas Gottschalk (70) – he was unable to participate personally and was therefore switched live to the studio.

RTL had replaced Günther Jauch with numerous prominent guests such as Evelyn Burdecki (32), Amira Pocher (28) or “Let’s Dance” judge Motsi Mabuse (40).
