From the Iron Throne to the White House: Lena Headey to be in HBO's Watergate series

Lena Headey he must have gotten a taste for politics in all nine seasons of Game of Thrones, where her portrayal of Queen Cersei Lannister made her aspire to several awards. Now, with the star series concluded and having several spin-offs in preparation, Headey seems ready to turn the page, although she hasn’t had to change production companies to do so; according to media such as Collider, the actress has just confirmed her participation in The White House Plumbers, a five-part miniseries that recreates the Watergate scandal in the early 1970s. That scandal that cost the presidency to Richard Nixon, and almost irreparably damaged the image of politicians.

Before Headey’s arrival, The White House Plumbers I already had in the cast Domnhall Gleeson, Woody Harrelson Y Justin Theroux, who will be joined by the actress from Game of Thrones as Dorothy Hunt, a CIA agent whose marriage to E. Howard Hunt will be jeopardized once Hunt is involved in the scandal. The White House Plumbers is based on the book that Matthew Krogg wrote on the subject, Integrity, and is in the hands of the producers Alex Gregory, Peter Huyck, David Mandell Y Frank Rich, with Ruben Fleischer (Venom) Y David Bernad as executive producers.

Adding the sensitivity of the subject (one of the blackest points in the history of American politics) with these charismatic actors, it would not be unreasonable for us to hear a lot about The White House Plumbers in upcoming award competitions. In any case, and until the filming does not wait and a release date is dropped, we will have to wait.
