The World Health Organization (WHO) gave this Friday the emergency approval to the vaccine against covid-19 from Moderna, the fifth to benefit from this validation by the UN health agency.

This messenger RNA vaccine “joins the growing list of vaccines validated by WHO for emergency use,” the organization said in a statement.

WHO has already approved vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech, the two AstraZeneca serums manufactured in India and South Korea and the one from Johnson & Johnson, called Janssen. A decision is expected soon, probably next week, for the two Chinese vaccines, Sinopharm and Sinovac.
